    Please, so many people from so many different countries - and even many many Swiss people, too! - agree on this. And most of them even aren't registered on this forum!
    They all agree how difficult it is to make (new) friends in the German-speaking part of Switzerland and that it's much easier in the French-speaking part. It's true that a country is only as nice as its people. So what's great about Zurich? They certainly know how to exaggerate and promote their city as another exciting international metropolis - which it's not! I used to live in an international metropolis for several years and I know lots of people coming from such metropolises, and Zurich is just a socially retarded village where everbody takes themselves far too seriously. And that's where the fun ends.
