Two Seniors Build in a Pandemic is a book about the reality of building a marriage and building your own house. There was a strong spiritual urging for me to write this experience. Add on aging, compound it with a pandemic, and you have a story. I noticed that building a home is like building a marriage. There are many things to consider when you choose your forever mate. I saw this as an opportunity to talk about the similarities between marriage and home-building. In building a home, one must have a location, and then a design that will fit that location. In building a solid marriage, one must know the type of person they want to spend their life with and how they will fit in their life. Most importantly, one must get guidance from Godly people who aren't judgmental and then trust God for everything.

Being blindsided by a pandemic made us aware of the importance of relying on one another. The pandemic also showed us what was necessary. Many couples have difficulty working together-the difference of opinions, lack of skill sets, communication, or patience.
This book is about building your own home and maintaining a solid marriage. Sometimes things go well, and sometimes they don't. Many people don't realize the sacrifices taken during the marriage. This book talks about the reality of life. It's what experienced people should pass along to those less experienced. To let them know that they are not alone in their experiences and they are not the first ones for things to happen to them. The give and take. It is knowing how to communicate and when to communicate. It must be done when building a home and when you are married. And never ever leave God out of the loop.
