The Master Singers of Lexington is turning 50! This month marks the anniversary of bringing captivating and joyful choral music to Lexington for half a century.

To celebrate our 50th birthday, the chorus will present a mixture of favorite works sung in the past and new work. Familiar works include Bach’s Singet dem Herrn and William Bolcom’s Lady Liberty, which was originally commissioned in 2009 for the chorus's 40th anniversary and dedicated to Barack Obama. Songburst, a choral piece created for the occasion by local composer and Lexington resident Thomas Stumpf, will be performed for the first time. The concert will also feature works by Brahms, Britten and Michael Hayden. First Parish Church is fully accessible with free parking. Tickets are available in advance or at the door. Discounts are available to subscribers and Greater Boston Choral Consortium members and from members of the chorus.
