Best bars in the center of Madrid?

Posted in Spain forum

Hi all!

I have sampled a fair selection of bars in Madrid and wondered if any one had any opinions as to what may be the best bar around the center?

Personally I love Petisqueria 2 (https://www.tripadvisor.es/Restaurant_Review-g187514-d72848

I would love to hear any thoughts!

    Hi there,

If you are looking for a bar that offers something a bit different then I would highly recommend Circulo de Bellas Artes. This is a rooftop bar with fantastic views of Madrid, as well as great drinks. It's probably slightly more expensive than some other bars as there is an entrance charge of 4 euros, but the experience is definitely worth it, especially in the summer where you can spend the evening drinking above Madrid and witness a stunning sunset over the city. It is also the perfect place to take Madrid first-timers.

Depends what vibe I'm feeling that night! I love El Imperfecto in Barrio Las Letras for a kind of dive bar/grungy feel with great mojitos. But if I just want a chilled atmosphere and good pintxos, I'll head to El Secuestrador de Besos in Tirso/La Latina (plus it has aircon!)
